BAGHDAD -- Suicide bombers struck two Shiite mosques in Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 24 people and wounding dozens during celebrations marking the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Police say a bomb from World War II has exploded after it was dug up during building work in western Germany. Fifteen people suffered light injuries or shock.

The 550-pound (250-kilo) bomb detonated after being unearthed on Friday by a mechanical digger in Hattingen in the industrial Ruhr region.

A roadside bomb hit a Pakistan air force bus in a northwestern city Tuesday, killing at least 11 military personnel and wounding 10, police said.

The explosion hit the vehicle on a bridge on the outskirts of Peshawar, provincial police chief Malik Naveed Khan said. The bus was heading from the city to the nearby air force base in Badaber.

Bangalore, July 25: Terror hit Bangalore Friday afternoon as seven low intensity blasts ripped through different parts of the IT city. The explosions took place within a span of half an hour, starting at 1:45 pm. The sites that were on terror target were Madiwala, Adugodi area, Koramangla, Hosur Road, Nayandahalli and Shivaji Nagar on Mysore Road and Langford Town.
